Itsy Bitsy Spider lyrics
Sing along
The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout.Down came the rain and washed the spider out.Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.
About the rhyme
The Itsy Bitsy Spider (also sung as Incy Wincy Spider) is a classic action rhyme about a little spider who never gives up. Children love the finger actions: walk your fingers up for the spider, wiggle them down for the rain, make a big circle for the sun, and climb back up again.
What children learn
- Fine motor skills from the finger actions
- Weather words: rain and sun
- Up and down, and the order of events
- Trying again when things go wrong
