Questions parents ask

Why are nursery rhymes good for children?
The rhythm and rhyme help children hear the sounds inside words, which supports learning to read later. Counting rhymes practise numbers, and action rhymes build coordination and listening.
What age are nursery rhymes for?
From babies to about seven. Babies enjoy the rhythm and your voice, toddlers join in with the actions and the last word of each line, and children of 4 to 6 can sing the whole rhyme and use it to count.
Is it Itsy Bitsy Spider or Incy Wincy Spider?
Both. Itsy Bitsy Spider is the usual name in the US and Incy Wincy Spider in the UK and Australia. The words and the finger actions are almost the same.
